Over the past year, my passion for photography has grown to a new level. I can only attribute that to the desires the Lord has put within me. A few months ago, the Lord gave me an idea- to raise support for my Dominican Republic Mission Trip through photography. For about two months, anyone who wanted their photos taken- I would do for any donation. I worked out wonderfully. Thankfully, all of the money for the trip came in & I was able to photograph some amazing people.
The last day of our trip, we went to a village called Alto Viejo 2. While there, we were able to walk deeper into the village to give food to some local residents & pray for them. It was an eye opening experience. Even though we spent four days getting to know the women & children of the other village- there was power in walking to the doorsteps of their homes. It made me realize a world things. Mixed emotions- Sadness for how they have to live, thankfulness for the blessings in my life, & guilt for not truly understanding what it means to live purely for the Lord... rather than things. These precious children left a mark on my heart that will never go away.
A young boy whose story touched my heart. A few months ago he lost both his parents. The village cares for him...

I remember looking down the road & Inoticed this woman walking away... her baby was making such intense eye-contact. It was the perfect shot.
A calmness.. a stillness... a story... all within his eyes.
